MirHaven is operated by Signal Shift Labs LLC. Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using MirHaven. By accessing or using our service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using MirHaven, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old (or have the consent of a parent or guardian), and that you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

2. Description of Service

MirHaven provides tools for creating, managing, and sharing online memorial pages for deceased persons and pets. The service is provided "as is" and may be modified, suspended, or discontinued at any time.

3. Your Account

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
• You may not transfer your account to another person without our written consent.

4. User Content

You retain ownership of the content you upload (photos, text, tributes). By uploading content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, display, and distribute that content solely for the purpose of operating the service.

You represent that you have all necessary rights to the content you upload, including photos and written works, and that your content does not infringe any third-party rights.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the service to:

• Upload content that is unlawful, harassing, defamatory, obscene, or harmful.
• Impersonate any person or entity or falsely claim affiliation with a person or organization.
• Upload content that infringes the intellectual property rights of others.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the service.
• Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or harvest content from the service without our consent.
• Use the service in any way that could damage, disable, or impair our infrastructure.

We reserve the right to remove content or suspend accounts that violate these terms, at our sole discretion, without prior notice.

6. Memorial Content & Sensitivity

MirHaven is a place of dignity and remembrance. We ask all users — account holders and tribute visitors alike — to engage with empathy and respect. Content that demeans, mocks, or disrespects the deceased or their family will be removed.

7. Privacy

Your use of the service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

8. Intellectual Property

The MirHaven name, logo, and all service-related software and designs are the intellectual property of the operator. You may not use, copy, or reproduce them without our prior written permission.

9. Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Signal Shift Labs LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

11. Termination

You may delete your account and all your memorials from your profile. We may terminate or suspend your account for violation of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately. Deleted memorials are no longer publicly available. Database backups rotate after 30 days.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the effective date above. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the operator operates, without regard to conflict of law principles.
